We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Associate with strong freight, shipping, receiving, and inventory management experience to join our growing distribution team. This role is designed for individuals who want to develop their leadership skills and advance into warehouse supervision and management.

The ideal candidate understands freight operations, has experience working within NetSuite or similar, and is comfortable managing the flow of inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy and exceptional service levels.

Key Responsibilities
Freight & Logistics Operations

  • Coordinate and process inbound and outbound freight shipments.
  • Schedule and communicate with carriers, freight brokers, and transportation providers.
  • Review bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, and shipping documentation.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect freight for damage and ensure proper receipt of products.
  • Resolve freight discrepancies and communicate issues with carriers and internal teams.
  • Monitor shipment status and support on-time delivery objectives.
Warehouse Operations
  • Pick, pack, stage, and ship customer orders accurately.
  • Receive and process inventory using NetSuite.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Organize warehouse locations and optimize storage utilization.
  • Operate material-handling equipment safely.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of warehouse, distribution, freight, logistics, or shipping/receiving experience.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating LTL, FTL, parcel, and common-carrier freight shipments.
  • Experience using NetSuite ERP/WMS or similar for receiving, shipping, inventory transactions, and order fulfillment.
  • Understanding of freight documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and carrier paperwork.
  • Strong inventory accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of warehouse KPIs, inventory control, and cycle counting procedures.
  • Experience leading projects, training employees, or serving as a team lead.
  • Lean, continuous improvement, or process improvement experience.
